Hey, I’m Skylar! I’ve been in the industry since October of 2020, and have been styling hair for a little over 2 years now. My love for hair and beauty blossomed when I was a little girl, and has been with me ever since! In the spring of 2020, COVID completely derailed my college plans, and in an effort to stay busy, I experimented with hair and makeup, and binged stylist videos on YouTube. Eventually, I enrolled in Empire Beauty school, and got a job assisting at a small boutique salon. Once I graduated, I began assisting and went through an intensive graduate program at my previous salon. I also received education from their many product lines. I styled there for about a year, and then in an effort to find a salon more aligned with my values and style, I landed at Salon Nova. I love the educational opportunities, support and community that have come with being part of the team at Nova! I love staying on trend and keeping up with social media, but my favorite services are highlights and shaggy haircuts! I’m so fortunate to have been able to find a career that combines my passions for connecting with people, and experimenting with different looks. I can’t wait to see you in my chair!
