Hi! I am Kimmy, the Hair Goddess
I am the founder of Salon Nova, an artistic educator, and mentor. Hair has always been my love ever since I was a little girl. I remember always twirling my mom’s hair and after 32 years, I am still twirling hair. I have been fortunate to work with so many other successful stylists that have helped and inspired me along the way. I opened Salon NOVA in June of 2008 with 5 employees and we have been growing ever since!
I enjoy passing along these skills and life lessons that have developed me into an artistic individual and professional. I have trained with Redken, Bumble & Bumble, Toni and Guy Sassoon, Wella, and now Strategies Business Coaching. I am a caretaker so this job comes easily. I find people so interesting and I love to talk.
It is a gift to be in an industry where we can instantly affect the way someone feels. To be able to reinvent ourselves over and over is super cool. For me, the most important thing is to be my authentic self. I would say I can find beauty in anything and anyone, especially you and your hair.
I am always up for a hair challenge and love to recreate any look for my guests. Short, shaggy, and textured hair are my favorites. I also enjoy using a straight blade and feather razor to create these beautiful shapes that suit every individual.
